Wildland fires continue to be the largest threat to South Lake Tahoe Basin. During a fire emergency, safety of lives is the number one priority. In order for the Fire Districts to effectively work to control the fire or protect homes, it is best if citizens are safely evacuated. Protecting your life is the highest priority and if you, your family and neighbors are in a safe place, the responders have accomplished the most imortant goal.
